Scripps announced today that the Rocky Mountain News will publish their last edition on Friday. They have been up for sale for some time now and finally had to bite the bullet after not receiving any offers. It's devastating to see that fine paper go. The talent and work those people put into their paper amazed and inspired me and they will be greatly missed. Best of luck in the future to all of you...

With death comes life. The Rocky Mountain News will live on through those that worked there, including you. :) Stay warm.
i immediately thought of you when i heard the news (i think earlier this week?) i too am worried that without newspapers our society will become more apathetic than it already is ... i hope this industry creates an online business model very, very soon or we will all suffer the same fate as the Rockey.
