I shot (pardon the pun) some kids playing guns at what seemed to be an abandoned church the other day. These kids were serious. One of them actually knew a little history for some of the battles they were trying to act out. I realized that I don't need to go to Iraq to shoot war when it's right in our backyards...
*Sounds is best with loud sub woofer*
P.S. Gun sounds, howling wind, heartbeat and demonic synths added for dramatization.
Wow Tim. The greatest thing for me about this is the overall vision you have. The concept. Of course the photos and audio rock, but you had this idea in your head that seeped into everything. More than news photography, this feels like expressive filmmaking. (Too long though)
yeah tom, you're right, but this was in no way for any editorial purpose, so I just wanted to go as overboard as I could with it. And I wanted to experiment with garageband.
i'm starting to save money so that i can install a tiny window in that huge noggin of yours and observe that crazy little puto brain of yours working. i'm not surprised that you found these guys [hi mr. tiger in a cage feature for the alligator], but i'm totally amped on seeing you take what i would probably classify as a fun yet fleeting encounter and producing something that enhances how palpable the collective presence of the images are. the garage band sound effects are hilarious, but are fitting given the feigned drama of the situation.
pretty sure you are a genius.this is more than an experiment,or an editorial. i think this is important. people should see this-as many people as possible
Um...Jesus, Tim. Prolly would have been dramatic enough even without the music.
